My Research

My scientific quest is to understand one of the most formidable unsolved problems in science today: the origin of life.

It is impossible to know the origin of life without knowing what life is. After all, how can you possibly find something if you don't' know what you're looking for! But what is Life? Life itself is yet another notoriously unsolved problem. There is, however, one thing we do know about the answer. The scientific answer to life must be capable of explaining all life in the universe, not just here on Earth. That is, it must be universal, or not rely on any particular material instantiation. Here's where I come in. I have developed a universal theory of life. It is called the Non-Physical Communication Architecture or NPCA. The NPCA has the makings of a powerful theory - I'm only just beginning to explore its explanatory power. Though the big question is: can the NPCA explain the origin of life? I'm optimistic.

What is the NPCA?

Can AI find a flaw
in the NPCA?

(There's only one way to find out)

About Me

I am Philip Rushton, an independent scientist from Liverpool. I have a PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics, a degree in philosophy and a profound fascination for the origin and nature of life. So much so, I have devoted the past 20 years of my life to researching these problems.
